Bushpig (Potamochoerus larvatus)

…is a species of pig native to Eastern and Southern Africa, with populations in Madagascar and the Comoros archipelago as-well. Like other pigs and the closely related Red river hog (P. porcus) the bugpish is omnivorous and feeds mostly on roots, grasses, carrion, insects and small animals. They are also fairly social animals and will live in small sounders (groups) of around 10 members, these groups forage together and are noted to be extremely aggressive especially when they are with young.

Well a massive tornado just ripped through exactly where one of my uncles lives so.. fuck. We can’t get ahold of him. We know he has a facebook so my grandfather’s calling my younger brother and my cousin because they actually have facebook accounts and would be able to find him a lot faster than I would, and hopefully might be able to get to him through that.

People are upset because Tumblr is a very well done, simplistic site with a few little issues. The key word there is simplistic. It’s also pretty sweet that you’ve basically got free reign to do whatever the hell you want.

Yahoo, however, kinda has a hideous, indisputable track record of killing everything it touches. And as far as simplicity goes, have a look at anything they’ve had a hand in. It’s pretty much the opposite of simple. A big, tangled, cluttered eyesore.

The prospect of possibly losing the ability to post adult content and maaaaybe even fanwork is understandably a bit worrying.

Honestly, tumblr should have slapped up some ads a long time ago (because that would have been a good business move) but it’s way too late to cry about that now. I don’t think it’s ads so much that people are worried about.. at least not me. As it is, considering the changes we very well might see given Yahoo’s past and present, I think it’s perfectly justified that people vent about it until we see what’s really going to happen. The people bitching clearly care about the site and are worried for its future.

Yeah. Don’t get me wrong, I really hate Yahoo. It hasn’t done any good anywhere and I /am/ scared that the worst kind of changes will be made. Tumblr is the only site I completely enjoy being on so it would be a low blow.

Although in a previous ask I debunked the ‘no nsfw stuff’ rumor! The CEO said she wouldn’t be doing anything to disrupt the nsfw/porn blogging. (THANK GOODNESS I LIKE NSFW STUFF) As for fandom things I doubt there would be any changes? Deviantart, Livejournal, Facebook, and all those other sites don’t tell you it’s against the law to blog about/make fandom related things. I don’t think Yahoo would get in trouble for allowing us to do that. I think it’s just another rumor going around that isn’t true ;w;

Thankfully the original tumblr owner is on team, so he has a say in a lot of things. I’m sure he’ll let the CEO know the major do’s and don’t’s. If things go to hell, then, well, I’ll hate Yahoo for it. But right now I’m sort of in the ‘wait and see’ boat.

I am really, REALLY immensely glad they’re not jacking around with adult content and likely not fanworks, at least! Tumblr is one of the few spaces were I feel like I can even remotely be myself because it’s just so lenient.

Now my main concern is just them turning the site into a hideous jumbled mess, but at least the CEO is there and will hopefully crack down on as much of that as possible.

Kinda also hope we can dodge the people you see hanging around yahoo answers and commenting on yahoo news, perhaps tumblr’s native obnoxious patrons can finally be put to good use and scare them away.
