Just a REALLY ROUGH sketch of Sedner, lazypose because I’m just trying to remember his wacky anatomy/proportions. Can’t find my sketchbooks full of him.
It’s really hard to draw creatures this tall. Might refine this later.
Everyone on my Tumblr dash, PLEASE watch this. Especially if you are a creative artist:
Adobe is going to scrap their hard copies (disks) for their software (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flash), and have you pay a subscription for the latest software called the Adobe Creative Cloud. $50 per month. Could you really afford such an expense in the long run?
This is really disturbing. Please hear what he has to say, it really is a serious situation for working artists. Pass this along so others may know about the Adobe Creative Cloud and how horrible it is.
Yep… Just went to see how much Flash costs. You know, to just buy the program? Guess what? After spending a while looking, it appears that you CAN’T anymore. You have to pay an outrageous subscription fee. I hate adobe. Is there a petition going around to stop this nonsense? Because I want to sign it.
Thanks! I know a lot of artists and people who like art follow me. You guys should go sign that.
Today I just signed the petition in the voice against the Adobe Creative Cloud. For those who are not familiar with what the new Creative Cloud can do to you as an artist, I really suggest you watch this video.
For those who have seen, reblogged, faved, here’s the link (as shown in the previous reblog) to sign the petition. Anything can happen, Adobe really needs to know that many artists are not supportive of them controlling not just the software..but the content worked on the Cloud.
Signed! Boosting the signal, I prefer to be able to buy my software.

These are large versions of a mascot image James and I did for our Primal Carnage clan, the Incineraptors! <3 I drew and colored and so on, James added the flames, embers, smoke, and text.
I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. :D
PAINTING FIRE

But yes I do like how it came out, too.. I should have added a few fiery footsteps, though.
Goddamn my rough conceptual sketches where I’m trying to get a “feel” for a picture look really weird.
You can even see the rough little thumbnail beneath his hand/arm. So yeah, Vulture, high as fuck.
I still have these designs left, open for adoption! $10 each, and you’ll get a larger image without the watermark of your Rex.
No reselling!
You can make edits to the design after purchasing!
Paypal only.
Please send me an ASK if you want to claim one! The Rex will not be crossed off the list until payment is received. :}

T. Rex Adoptables!
Okay, THIS IS REALLY HARD because I’m in love with how all these turned out, but all these adorable rexes are up for adoption!
As you can see, there are both the nostalgic naked Rexes, as well as feathered!

The Cassowary has been sold, but yes, the rest in this set are still available. I had fun sketching the base for this cute bab and Carni did an awesome job inking and coloring them.
WHAT AM I EVEN DOING.
I read a crapload about dromaeosaurs the past few days, and looked at countless references, and by god they are the hardest animals for me to draw that I’ve come across yet.
So I’m redesigning my Achillobator character. This isn’t done, and his back half hasn’t had the feathers sketched in yet. Any critique on his structure would be appreciated - such as his leg length being off and things like that. I don’t really care for being told achillobator probably had a feathered neck and head - I know, I just really love birds with naked necks and heads, and big goofy ornaments all over the place, so I’m having fun with that.
But anatomical issues aside from his various ornaments and things like that, I’d really like to have pointed out. I’m not going for reconstructive 100% total accuracy, I just don’t want him to look totally broken.
It looks pretty good overall, the two main anatomy things that seem to pop out are that the:
- Torso’s a bit short
- Shoulder’s a bit high
The tail may or may not be too short when the torso’s elongated, I dunno. The feathers on the arms seem to not be coming off of the second digit as they should, and the legs look as if they should be a bit thicker, but it might just be me.
THANK YOU. This helps so much!
I did try to draw the feathers coming from the second finger, but likely goofed it as this is only the second time I’ve tried to seriously draw a dromeosaurid in, oh.. the past five years? If not more, so I’m a little rusty and have a lot to get used to, I’ll try to fix that.
And I’ve got no sense of proportion as far as the tail and torso go, so I definitely agree they could probably stand to be lengthened, and I’ll elongate that tail just to be on the safe side. And fatten up his legs.
Again, the redline is very appreciated!

DINAHSAWS
Does anyone have any good tutorials or guides to drawing dromaeosaurid dinos? Raptors. I sort of suck at it an need halp.
I’m drawing Achillobator specifically but there have not been enough pieces of it found yet to be really certain on what it looked like, so any resource about drawing raptors would be awesome. (I am aware that Achillobator’s boot was entirely different)
Yo becdecorbin, I started this some time ago and I dunno if I’ll ever finish it so uh HERE’S A TOTALLY UNFINISHED PIC OF OUR BOOGEYMEN TOGETHER.
So very unfinished and rough.
Mine is very perplexed by yours, but hey, maybe candy will settle him down.

Just sketched this up.
This is Vitalis, a character I created in, oh.. 2000 or 2001. He’s a werebat, based on the Australian Ghost Bat. He’s also albino. I honestly don’t know why I don’t draw him more, he’s one of my most fun characters to draw. I think I’ll ink and color this. This is his natural form, the one he was born in. He can take on a fully human form, but he finds it very uncomfortable and somewhat disconcerting, as it lacks the hearing and sense of smell he relies on.
His nose leaf is fused against his nose, up until very recently he entirely lacked one in his design. That right eye is also supposed to be saggy, the eye itself is gone and he wears a prosthetic. He can’t really see worth a damn with his real eye, either, being an albino. He echolocates a lot.
Despite being basically a shape-shifting Australian ghost bat, he is not Australian. He’s Russian, though he’s lived in America for most of his life. Big ol’ cop-out so I don’t have to break my mind trying to write any dialogue in his native language dohoho.
